"FOR THE KIDS"
"Big Kids Helping Little Kids"

What IS a toy run, you ask.

Well, a toy run is a gathering of people who want to help others.  It is not a "run" as in marathon, it is a tourcade of motorcycles, custom/classic cars and trucks, as well as your ordinary cars and trucks!

Each year we gather, on the first Sunday in December, to collect toys, food and money donations, which we then turn over to our local Salvation Army.  The Salvation Army is able to distribute all the donated items to children and their families that otherwise would not be having a very Merry Christmas.

At the beginning of each run we register each participant, sell T-shirts, run pins and patches, and visit with friends.  When the time comes, we line up all the motorcycles, custom/classic cars and trucks, and all other vehicles, and drive from either Sherman to Denison or visa versa, shouting Merry Christmas and waving to all those gathered along the route.

At the ending point of the run we all gather together and eat food donated by sponsors, visit with friends, meet new friends, and present the toys, food and money to the Salvation Army.  It is a heartfilled event that we wish to invite you and all your friends to join us in.  Remember, it's the FIRST SUNDAY in December each year.  For more information, please browse this site, and tell your friends about it as well!

Plans are shaping up for the 14th Annual Toy Run for the Kids scheduled for December 7, 2008. This event is getting bigger and better every year, and we hope to make this year extra special due to the fact it is the FOURTEENTH Anniversary. We are hoping that you join our "For the Kids Toy Run", this will help ensure that everyone has a very Merry Christmas.
